FAQs

  • Creative Grounds is versatile and can host a variety of events including celebratory events, networking events, dinner parties, corporate events, art workshops, and more.

  • Our flat rate for private event rental is $100 per hour.

    4-hour minimum.

    Your booking request MUST include time for setup and cleanup.

  • Earlier start time will be assessed on a case by case basis and at the rate of $200 per hour. An at cost catering menu is available upon request. Please email info@creativegroundsdc.om.

  • Booking & Payment Policy

    To secure your event date and time at Creative Grounds, full payment is required at the time of booking through our reservation platform.

    All bookings are confirmed upon full payment submission.

    Your reservation is not confirmed until payment is received.

    By completing your booking, you acknowledge and agree to Creative Grounds’ cancellation, modification, rescheduling, and no-refund policies outlined below.

    Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy

    Creative Grounds does not offer refunds under any circumstances.

    If you need to cancel your event, we will consider transferring your rental fee to an alternate date, subject to availability and the following conditions:

    • The request must be made in writing.

    • The new date must be selected within 60 days of the original event date.

    • The rescheduled event must take place within 6 months of the original booking.

    • Rental rates in effect at the time of rescheduling will apply. Any difference in rate must be paid prior to confirmation.

    Rescheduling is permitted one time only.

    If a new date is not selected within the specified timeframe, the rental fee will be forfeited.

    Modifications & Reductions in Time

    Changes to event duration, including reducing reserved hours after booking, are considered modifications — not cancellations.

    Creative Grounds does not offer partial refunds, reimbursements, or credits for unused reserved time once a booking has been confirmed.

    Additional time requested is subject to availability and will be billed at the hourly rate.

    Space Use & Condition Policy

    The space must be returned to its original condition by the end of your reserved time.

    This includes:

    • Removing all personal décor, rentals, and items brought into the space

    • Removing all food, beverages, and supplies

    • Taking all trash and recycling out of the building

    • Returning furniture to its original placement (unless otherwise agreed in writing)

    All load-in, event time, breakdown, and clean-up must occur within your reserved hours.

    Additional time required for cleaning or breakdown will be billed at the hourly rental rate.

    Failure to return the space to its original condition may result in additional cleaning or restoration fees.

  • No, we do not have a kitchen. But you will have access to a refrigerator and prep area should you require it.

    We can work with your caterer and/or event planner.

  • Yes, we provide 30 chairs that run along the center of the venue, two farmhouse tables, 3 bar height tables and 6 stools, 2 low coffee tables situated in front of 2 couches. On the lower level, we have have 5 desk height tables and 20 stools.

  • Our venue can comfortably accommodate up to 42 guests, seated. Maximum capacity is 62.

  • We offer a coffee and pastry service. You are also free to cater your event. Alcohol is permitted, but additional fees apply.

    Per Guest Fee:

    $7 per guest.

  • Our standard event hours are from

    5 PM - 12 AM, Friday-Sunday

    5 PM-9 PM Weekdays

  • Yes, we encourage potential clients to tour our venue. Please contact us tat info@creativegroundsdc.com to schedule a tour.

  • There is an outdoor ramp leading to the patio space. A small step is located at the entrance of the building. There are 2 bathrooms on site, one that is ADA compliant.

  • Parking is zoned, so we encourage your guests to arrive early to look for parking, use car-sharing and/or public transport.

  • Yes, you can hire live entertainment such as a DJ, musician, or live art demonstration. We can help coordinate these services for you. Music is permitted however no amplified sound; a simple Bose (or equivalent) speaker is sufficient.

  • Yes, an on-site event coordinator will be available to assist with setup, coordination, and any needs during the event.
